 What's happening over the summer?

Charter Event 2010

11am Sunday, 11 July, 2010...  Bovey Tracey Civic Service commemorated the 750th anniversary of the Town Charter.  The churches combined for a special service in Mill Marsh Park. It was terrific!

Packed marquee, others sitting outside. The High Sheriff was in attendance, and the Lord Lieutenant of Devon, as well as the Town Councillors and other invited guests. Sunshine, good music, a real community event.

Excellent service, using the shared talents of the churches; and the other exhibitions and Flower Festivals were marvellous.

Future plans

EDBC is changing drastically during 2010. After more than 30 years working together, the congregations are developing a more local identity within their own communities.

This will mean changes to the structure and programme of the church.  Probably the best thing to do is contact us if you would like more information.  All congregations are still "open for business" and you are assured of a very warm welcome in any of the local Baptist churches.  We will publish more information from time to time as the changes progress.  These are exciting days, and the changes reflect the growth and development of the church over recent months.
